Hi Everyone,

Wow...What a mess our government has proven itself to be over the past weeks. I am sorry in my delay to update you all, but proceeding were such that I had to wait, to know what the update was even going to be. So here we are, please read and share widely this latest important update for everyone to know.

Firstly I want to thank everyone who is out there speaking, marching and rallying for support. Your amazing efforts are seen and heard, and we are indeed shaking this house of cards which we call our Parliament. Not only are you all helping bring awareness to our petition, you are bringing strength to victims and survivors, who now feel safe and supported to speak out. This momentum is growing and it is a metaphorical snowball we are moving here, everyone supporting each other. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. We are the change and the time is now.

Your patience, and my own, in awaiting, now former, Attorney General Christian Porter’ response to our Parliamentary Petition has been stretched to its limits.

My first replies from the Petition Committee when I asked, as to when our response was to be received, was that Christian Porter had written the response but not yet given it to the committee to process. Since then, I have received further replies of at the earliest, if Christian Porters office gave them the response that day, the earliest a response could come would be May 24th 2021.

Eruption of scandal after scandal then arose from the pits of our Parliament House. Christian Porter, accused of rape, victim “suicided”, no investigation...what was going on!!

Then unfortunately my latest email response from Petition Committee was a complete brush off. It stated as follows:

Good afternoon Belinda,

We have followed up with the Attorney-General’s office again yesterday who have been unable to provide us with a time frame for receipt of the response to your petition.

We will continue to follow up regarding this, but please be mindful that, while a minister is requested to provide a response within 90 days, they are not compelled to. Sometimes responses are not provided and, for a wide range of reasons, sometimes responses take longer than 90 days to be received.

We will provide you with advice on any updates that we receive.

Regards

.........

WHAT!!!  “Sometimes not provided”!...To a petition that received 8782 signatures and was presented to parliament by Andrew Wilkie. Nearly 50,000 people here on the change. org petition rising up for this cause....People on mass rising up against Government Corruption.... and that’s what they say now!....I feel like they are not taking us all seriously. I feel like they will delay as long as they can. I have no faith that they will even do the right thing. We still have no Federal Anti Corruption and Integrity organisation to be able to even deal with this anyway!

So....I am now pleased to let you all know that I have written to the International Criminal Court (ICC) with request, on grounds of Crimes Against Humanity, that they can investigate and bring those accountable to justice.

I have received correspondence that they have registered my request and are doing preliminary investigations into this matter. The letter response is as follows:

The Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court acknowledges receipt of your documents/letter.
This communication has been duly entered in the Communications Register of the Office. We will give consideration to this communication, as appropriate, in accordance with the provisions of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
Please note this acknowledgement letter does not mean an investigation has been opened, nor that an investigation will be opened by the Office of the Prosecutor.
As soon as a decision is reached, we will inform you, in writing, and provide you with reasons for this decision.

..............

So this is great news! They are now looking into what is going on over here on our behalf. I will keep everyone updated as soon as I get a response back, be assured of that.

The Rome Statute under section 53 is where it will be assessed I hope as an issue that Australia can not resolve itself as we have no way to do so, as the justice system itself is in question here. So I have some confidence that the ICC will indeed rise up.

We are well on our way moving forward here on this particular case of un-investigated and suppressed documents.

We will not back down. We are here for change. The time is now. It is not a statement when we say to our government, and to the children, “We are coming for you!” It is our promise.

Again I just want to thank you all for your amazing support, standing up, speaking out, shining brightly.

Keep sharing to bring awareness and support for this cause. We are the Change.
