I just wanted to thank each and every person who has showed support here by signing this important petition. 

Attorney General Christian Porter is now overdue to respond to our Parliamentary Petition which this petition here supports and keeps updates for. 

Parliamentary Petitions are stated to be responded to within 90 days from being presented.

I have had a response from the petitions committee, which I talked about a couple of updates ago, which stated that AG takes “a bunch” all at same time to discuss response and then will reply. I stated that that did not answer my question as to when we were to hear back. The response again was vague.

Good morning Belinda,

After following up with them yesterday, we have been advised by the Attorney-General’s office that a response to your petition is being prepared and should be with us shortly.

You may wish to know that the Committeerequests a response to from ministers within 90 days but it is not a requirement for them to do so. For a range of reasons, responses can sometimes take longer to arrive.

When the response is received it will be seen by the Committee at one of their regular meetings. The Committee meets every Wednesday that the House of Representatives meets. After the Committee has seen the response it will be presented to the House by the Committee Chair. Presentations occur every Monday that the House of Representatives meets. We are unable to provide you with the dates that these events are expected to occur until we receive the response.

So we have a vague answer of Wednesday’s and Monday’s, and I promise I shall update here as soon as we get a formal response. 

Until then... Please everyone email this petition to a few organisations and businesses you know that you feel would like to show support. 

Please also encourage them to email me if they wish to sign and put their name to the cause. 

I am collating a list of organisations and politicians who support this cause, so to promote their integrity and stand with us. 

I will also be collating a list next week of all the politicians whether they do or do not sign. So please, contact your local MPs and get them to show their stand... either way they will be counted..so make sure they know that no signature is also a show of their position on this extremely important issue.

Also keep sharing on all your social media. We are aware we are being censored and filtered out of view with this..So keep sharing...Every signature counts.

We together are the voice for the children and the future. Together united we are a strong force. Never underestimate the power of the people united.
