On Friday April the 5th 2019 there will be a National Mesh Implant Forum held in Melbourne.
The event will bring together mesh injured consumers, carers, regulators, politicians, health officials and consumer advocates to collaborate to consider best practice treatment models and explore regulatory changes to the way medical devices such as mesh are approved and monitored.
The forum is being backed by all state governments and convened by:
Health Issues Centre Victoria
Health Consumers NSW
Health Consumers Queensland
Health Consumers’ Council (WA)
Health Consumers Alliance of South Australia
Health Care Consumers (ACT), Health Consumers Tasmania.
There will be funding available for flights for mesh injured who live interstate. You can apply in the link below
Tickets are $30 for mesh injured and carers (friends and family) or $10 for Virtual live-streamed attendance

We would love to have over 10,000 signatures on this petition to present to the TGA and the politicians that will be attending the event.
We would also love to highlight to the TGA that the regulation issues around Australia’s approval and post market monitoring of medical devices are deeper than Surgical Mesh.
This is why we are asking for everyone who has already signed this petition to get 1 friend or loved one to sign and share this petition.
