Thank you so much for signing and SHARING. So the PM decided that it was too risky to debate Helen Haines' Federal Integrity Commission Bill because her tough, retrospective model - with its Code of Conduct - might have been PASSED?
So now he has two options:
**Bring the LNP's toothless Commonwealth Integrity Commission Bill into Parliament in 2022 before the next election, KNOWING he is 'conning' the Australian people with his Claytons model?
Which Christian Porter WROTE to ENSURE Parliamentarians can NEVER be investigated for rorts, harmful to our most vulnerable policies like Robodebt, and gifting of PUBLIC Money to 'tap on the shoulder' MATES who never even have to put in Tenders to gain Multiple-MILLIONS of dollars of PUBLIC MONEY - much less be ACCOUNTABLE for those funds?
Or:
**Try to BLAME Labor and the Greens for him NOT introducing his Bill before the election which he KNOWS is SO WEAK that if it WAS passed - Australians would be convinced NEITHER side of Politics really CARES about ACCOUNTABILITY of our elected Representatives?
Either option is a BIG GAMBLE!
One thing we do KNOW about this current PM is - he WILL CHOOSE the option he thinks he can best SELL to the most gullible of the Australian people to try to convince them HE has INTEGRITY and so get their VOTES!
Will the MAJORITY in Australia BELIEVE him?
On the Religious Discrimination Bill which the PM also INTENDS to use to DIVIDE Australians BECAUSE he KNOWS a divided society fighting amongst itself is ALWAYS a OPPORTUNIST Politician's (like he is) BEST chance despite the fact he KNOWS our Constitution CLEARLY states:
"116. Commonwealth not to legislate in respect of religion
The Commonwealth shall not make any law for establishing any religion, or for imposing any religious observance, or for prohibiting the free exercise of any religion, and no religious test shall be required as a qualification for any office or public trust under the Commonwealth."
Have ALL those supporting the PM's Bill THOUGHT of the consequences?
In Australia, Christians for generations have influenced Government policy on the way everyday people - Christian or NOT - live their lives in Australia. As PROVEN by how hard Australians have had to fight (and many still DO!) to have the RIGHT to make their OWN choice about HOW to die if they have a TERMINAL ILLNESS
Have all the Christians who have had it so good influencing Governments for generations - THOUGHT about what this Religious Discrimination Bill might lead to?
After all Satanism is a RELIGION - and this Bill would give those who practice Satanism - the RIGHT to the same tax-free status as those who set up their own (not so) 'Christian' Churches DOESN'T it?
Be careful what you wish for - the right-wing Australian Christian Lobby!
