In an era where banks are closing branches at an alarming rate.
In an era where private banks charge high interest rates on loans and outrageous fees on accounts that enrich the wealthy, while impoverishing the working poor and what little is left of the "middle class".
In an era where private banks' profits remain in private hands - rather than sharing them with the customers who provided the funds or investing in CANADA, CANADIANS and their neighbourhoods.
It's time for our very own Postal Bank, much like the one we had from 1868 to 1968/1969. You can thank the banking industry lobbyists for that. And let's face it, the government for caving in to the pressure.
