Dear friends, You signed my petition on Change.org calling upon Attorney General George Brandis to rescind the Marriage Amendment Bill 2004. It’s time for marriage equality. Which is why we need the outcome of the postal survey to be YES. And marriage equality surveys have already hit letterboxes across the country. I am going to be voting YES and I hope you all will too. I’m also going to make sure that my friends and family are posting their YES votes. The biggest danger is going to be marriage equality supporters forgetting to actually post their votes. There are a few things you can do to help win this thing: 1. Pledge to vote YES here and then share your pledge with your friends and family: www.VoteYes.org.au 2. Volunteer with the Equality Campaign. It’s going to take millions of YES votes to achieve equality, so calling YES supporters and knocking on doors are really effective ways to get people to fill out the survey and post it. Head to: www.YES.org.au 3. Donate to the Equality campaign. I’ve spoken to people on the campaign – they’re really putting everything they have into getting out the vote. The more resources they have the longer they can run ads, the more material they can print for local communities, and the more calls they can make. Chip in at: www.equalitycampaign.org.au/donate None of us wanted it to happen like this, but what’s important for our LGBTI friends and family is that we finally get this done. Thank you, Diana Simmonds, Paddington
