In 2 days, we have reached 97 petitions! So far 97 people wanting to see a team at the u20 Pan Am Championships.
Among the signees are athletes, parents, coaches, other supporters and even former Olympians! People from all over want to see more young athletes get their chance on team Canada.
In the comments section, some people talked about what it would mean to them if a team was sent. Their friends should get to show off their hard work at this track meet. Their children are in the u20 age group and they want to give them and others the same age the chance to compete. We need to get them ready to compete all the way to the Olympic level. Currently, none of this will be possible unless the decision makers at Athletics Canada change their minds.

Thank you for bringing awareness to this issue.
I was one of those athletes who you described on your change.org website. One who missed out on the World Juniors and thought they had a chance at going to Pan Ams. It really hurt to find out they were not sending a team and actually only found out after being shared the petition. Usually I would just accept that I should wait until next year, especially with all the other things that have been cancelled. I've learned to be ok with disappointment and upsets due to COVID. Your petition made me realize that maybe there is still hope and that we shouldn't have to wait any longer than we need to.
I have worked throughout 2020 and 2021. I improved and I am one of the best U20 athletes in the country. I want to and am ready to compete and do great as part of team Canada. Thank you for standing up for us and I hope this gets to Athletics Canada!

Athletics Canada's decision is affecting real people. It's affecting the next generation of Olympians. They don't want or need to wait. Their time is now.
As we pass the weekend and labor day, more people will return back and see this campaign. More people who want to sign this just haven't seen it yet. Don't forget to continue to spread the message to others. Thank you all for your support thus far.
