Please spare our tree. We are asking for a minor adjustment in the plans for  a new Medical Centre. We accept that a Medical Centre is coming to River Lawn Road but we do not believe this should be at the expense of a magnificent Horse Chestnut tree which is cherished by our community. At the consultation stage the architect stated that the tree could be retained subject to alterations to the layout of the upper floors. We urge Assura to look again and work around these issues and prevent the unnecessary destruction of our tree.
