On Friday, March 6, 2020, Senate Bill (SB680) passed the Florida Senate Floor vote 37-1. A vote to approve House Bill 401 (HB401) takes place next week. 

The co-sponsor of HB401 Representative Toby Overdorf has double-crossed the majority of his constituents by leading Floridians to believe he supports HB401 while deceptively working to dismantle the integrity of HB401 to appease a small majority of shark fishers who sell shark fins.

Who do the shark fishermen sell the fins too?

As long Florida allows the sale of shark fins, the State will continue to fuel the shark fin trade.

Shark allies, OneProtest, and many other local conservation groups have worked with stakeholders and legislators to end the fin trade in Florida.

The time to end the fin trade in Florida is NOW!
