'QPR supporters donated a magnificent total of £6,804 so that Phase One of The Stanley Bowles Stand initiative could be achieved.
That means that during the close season lettering on The Ellerslie Road Stand will be put on the front of the stand facing the pitch with the words THE STANLEY BOWLES STAND on it to honour Stan Bowles with a stand named after him.
Well done to everyone involved who made that happen.
Thank you. To each and everyone of you. Without you we would not have come this far.
Sadly, not every QPR fan supported or, indeed, supports the initiative. They will have their reasons.
Fans opposed to The Stanley Bowles Stand initiative think that the owners of the club should pay for the work.
Well, that is not going to happen.
Is it right? That is another story but the reality is that if we want the initiative to happen, we, the QPR fans need to support it.
Fans opposed to The Stanley Bowles Stand initiative think that other players and people connected with QPR are more worthy than Stan Bowles.
Well, the Loft is to be renamed The Legends of the Loft and legends chosen by QPR fans are to be remembered in that part of the ground. That will be Phase Five of the initiative. We need to achieve Phases One to Four first.
Although the Phase One target has been achieved, we have not yet met the total target of Phases One to Five.
In addition to the £6,804 raised for Phase One, QPR supporters have donated a further £1,287.31. We need a total of £3,362 to complete Phases Two and Three. Please continue to give generously. Your support for the campaign is very much appreciated.'

See Wolverhampton Wanderers FC could hand the title to Liverpool FC again this weekend . . .
(Liverpool's 3 remaining games, of the 1975/76 season, were versus Manchester City, Leeds and Wolves. City and Leeds' seasons were effectively over already.
Then, they played their last game v Wolves, 10 days after QPR, due to their Uefa Cup involvement.)
'The BBC put on a special showing of this game, and Gerry and I, went along to the studios at Television Centre, Wood Lane.
Wolves were battling against relegation. If Wolves won and Birmingham lost at Sheffield United, on the same night, Wolves would stay up.
Wolves took the lead and they held on, until 12 minutes from the end.
Then, Kevin Keegan equalised.
After that, news came through, that Birmingham had drawn, so Wolves were down anyway.
Wolves lost heart after that, and Liverpool scored two more goals, making it 1-3.
Liverpool were champions, and we left devastated.
After 42 games, and the finest league season in the history of Queens Park Rangers, we had missed the league title by only one point.
To say it was a sickening anticlimax, would be the understatement of the decade.
When the game finished, Gerry and I walked out.
I asked him if he wanted to come for a drink, but he just said, 'No'.
He was stunned, and so he went home.
I went for a drink and drowned my sorrows in Shepherd's Bush, where I knew most of the people in the pubs.
I just got very drunk, but that didn't take away the sick, empty feeling in my stomach.'
