Hi! Thank you for signing this petition! If you have already shared it, we are even more grateful. While we are pushing the 2,500 mark, we still have a long way to go to make sure this petition is truly effective. We need tens of thousands of signatures for Tennessee lawmakers to take it seriously. I need to make it clear that this petition is not just the first step in our strategy, but also the most important and the easiest! 

1. Share and keep sharing the petition. I have had the most luck with texting it directly to people, and by people, I mean everyone in my phone. I use the following message if I am unsure where they stand on the issue, because as we all know, it can be a sensitive one. I have gotten a lot of encouraging and surprising responses. Anyone 16 and over can sign and young people are eager to get involved, so ask them to sign and share too! 
   1. Hi! I hope you are well. I am not entirely sure where you fall on this issue, but I am passionately advocating for victims of rape, trafficking, and incest. I would love for you to read and consider signing this petition. If you agree with it, please share with others, especially those in TN. If you ever want to talk more about this, let me know! Thanks. 
2. Sign up to receive information on upcoming community meetings, days on the hill, volunteer opportunities, and call and email templates to contact lawmakers. 
3. Give to support the work. This page also has more information on SAC, how this decision affects our work and our commitment to the victim/survivors we work with. 

This is NOT a partisan issue but a victim advocacy and compassion issue! Let's be dedicated, passionate and do all we can to make it happen so we can proudly tell the next generation that we were part of change!
