Dear supporter,

Yesterday, thanks to people like you, we launched the Unofficial Curriculum with Killed Women.

Three incredible teenagers modelled our mock textbook, which exposes the dangerous messages, misinformation and behaviours that fill the gap when mandatory relationships and sex education (RSE) ends at 16 and the internet becomes young people’s teacher.

We unveiled it in front of a group of MPs including Jess Phillips, the Domestic Abuse Commissioner, the Victims’ Commissioner for London, specialist organisations, bereaved families and survivors. Together, we called on the government to back the RSE bill in Parliament on 4 December. This bill would make RSE mandatory for all children up to the age of 18.

Please write to your MP today and ask them to back the bill. It takes one minute:

Why it matters: Millions of young people in further education aren’t guaranteed lessons on consent, coercive control or the warning signs of abuse. At the age when they are gaining independence and forming relationships, the education that could keep them safe simply isn’t there.

The bill would change that, guaranteeing RSE, including lessons on domestic abuse and coercive control, up to the age of 18.

Please write to your MP today and ask them to back the bill. It takes one minute:

Thank you for standing with us.

Faustine
