Dear Supporters,
Yesterday, I handed in my petition with over 105,000 signatures, joined by powerful voices who have been tirelessly campaigning for change.
I was honoured to stand alongside Carole Gould from Killed Women, who has been campaigning in memory of her daughter Ellie. Sue Hills, mother of Alice Ruggles, also joined me – she has done incredible work raising awareness of stalking in Alice’s name. The wonderful coercive control campaigner David Challen, the End Violence Against Women (EVAW) coalition, and the Sex Education Forum were also there in support.
Over 105,000 of you have backed this call. Bereaved families, survivors, and campaigners are united in demanding one simple, vital action: education.
If the government is serious about its pledge to halve violence against women and girls, it must start with what works – education. Prevention through early intervention that goes all the way up until age 18 is not a vague ideal. It is a proven, evidence-backed strategy.
Please keep signing and sharing. I’ll keep you updated on the next phase of the campaign and how you can support and hold the government to account!
Thank you for every ounce of support over the last three years. Yesterday would not have been possible without you as signatories.
