Good Evening Everyone,

Just an update to say thank you for 135 signatures. I have been made aware today that sixth forms and 16-19 academies are encouraged to teach about domestic abuse but are not required to. There will be thousands of sixth-form-aged students missing out on this vital education as a consequence of the government making this optional.

This is unacceptable as education on such a serious issue is key and lifesaving. Learning about domestic abuse and relationships AGAIN in sixth form is positive, teaching it solely in secondary school is not enough. This is because students will be at different stages in their lives, therefore revisiting the topic is key.
