Ask Said Business School to help the homeless this winter

Please help us to keep 20 homeless people off the streets this winter!
Iffley Open House has relocated! Please sign this petition to call on the owners of our new home, Said Business School, to allow us to stay out the winter.
On the day before we were due to be evicted from the old VW garage on Iffley Rd, potentially forcing our 20 residents back onto the streets, we have been able to relocate to the Old Power Station near Oxford train station which has been empty for more than 7 years.
As the rain poured and strong winds blew the Iffley Open House residents and volunteers packed up and moved across town to ensure the community of 20 homeless individuals continue to have a secure, warm shelter and basic amenities through this winter.
We are calling on the owners of our new accommodation, Oxford University’s Said Business School, to allow us to stay out the winter.
The new building, which has been empty for more than 7 years, was bought by Said Business School last year, part of Oxford University, who intend to turn the former power station into ‘Executive Accommodation’ for its students.
Help us by calling on the owners Said Business School to allow the continued use of the building as a shelter this winter.
This action is in response to the rising number of rough sleepers in Oxford, up 50% in the last year, whilst central government cuts force the closure of homeless services across the city. By the end of 2018 further decommissioning of services will result in a loss of more than 260 beds since early 2016.
Thank you for your support!
