Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now available on the eShop and with that, we got the following information: “This game does not support the Save Data Cloud functionality of Nintendo Switch Online. However, the ability to recover Animal Crossing: New Horizons save data from the server in the event of console failure, loss or theft will be available to Nintendo Switch Online members sometime in the future.¨

This is all we were hoping for! An option to protect our precious data, and therefore the hours spent on the game, in case of any mishaps! We are eternally thankful to all of those who signed, shared and supported this petition. We're also thankful for all the gaming outlets and Youtube creators, big and small, who pushed the petition forward in order to bring awareness of this issue to all players.

This petition was living proof for us of the absolute kindness and helpfulness that represents the fans of Animal Crossing. Fans who helped translate letters into their languages, called Nintendo, and offered help in whatever form. It was truly a wonderful and overwhelming thing to see. I hope you feel that your efforts paid off, we're so thankful and humbled by your kindness! As we close this chapter, we look back at all the high and low moments, the friends we made along the way and the feeling of being part of something bigger than ourselves and it's priceless. Thank you again to all, from the bottom of our hearts!
