Frank Guglielmi, Meijer's Director of Communications, said that the merchandising organization is "not available to schedule a meeting" with me, but I am welcome to send presentation materials which will be shared with the appropriate merchandising executives. So........on to the presentation. I'll be laying out a plan for testing a healthy AISLE (instead of just a few healthy items) as well as the unique experience that goes with such an aisle. The plan will include ways in which the expertise of Meijer's Health and Wellness Team can be incorporated into the aisle, which is critical to making sure that the types of products offered are actually healthy and that they meet nutrition/dietary guidelines. I'll be taking into consideration all of the information and suggestions people have shared so far through comments, emails, and phone calls, and would be grateful for any additional suggestions and input.
