During my wait in checkout at the Okemos Meijer yesterday, I came across these two lovely publications. They so well highlight the variety of topics we can choose from for those precious "teachable moments" some say benefit our kids at checkout. Let's see.....Hotter Sex for You, Big-O Shortcuts, OMG Foreplay, Turn-on Tricks, Effed-up stories, booze and drug binges, love affairs, detox, rehab, and sex assault horrors. PERFECT "teachable moment" material for young children, right??? RIGHT!? Ugh. I think I've had enough.....wait..............yep, I have. Instead of "teachable moments" I'm going to start calling them "Meijer moments" and I would invite you to do the same. The next time you're at Meijer and see magazines/tabloids with equally spectacular "teachable moment" material, take a picture and post it to Meijer's FB page or on Twitter with the hashtag #MeijerMoments.
