The new DA is now increased to 22 dwellings (previous DA in 2016 was for 13 dwellings). A development of this size will have an adverse impact on surrounding properties, the street scape and the community of East Gosford.

PARKING - Underground parking for 38 vehicles, only access will be via Adelaide Street. This will add significant traffic congestion and increased parking problems. Within the surrounding blocks of the DA are 2 x High Schools (staff and senior students currently park all the way up to George Street), 2 x primary schools (staff all day parking and parents to drop off and pick up) and 1 x childcare centre (staff all day parking and parents dropping off and picking up). The traffic report included in the DA was greatly understated - it did not consider street parking availability, and at the time of the survey the high schools were on holidays, so a true reflection of the parking was not reported.

ENVIRONMENT - The aesthetics of the East Gosford area has already been compromised with some recent unit developments including removal of many trees and destruction of local flora and fauna environments.

INFRASTRUCTURE- At this present time, there is already major issue with parking and traffic control in and around the schools in this area and by having another huge development taking place, the concern is how the infrastructure around the school are going to be updated to cope with this new development. If there are no further upgrades to the roads and parking areas around the schools then the development should be objected.
