I have set up a Zoom session at 1 pm Canberra, Sydney, and Melbourne time this coming Wednesday, the 17th, to answer any questions, find ideas on how to publicise the petition and discuss the emergent properties of the financial system if banks change to simple interest.

Last Friday I discussed my complaint with the bank.

The bank discussed my complaint that came to them via the AFCA. The bank did not agree that their debit of my account was an extension of the loan. The bank offered to pay me $500 for my time if I withdrew the complaint. I did not accept their offer. I will now discuss the complaint with the AFCA (Australian Financial Complaints Authority) but expect this will take several weeks as they have a lot of complaints.
