Back in Action!

Hello fellow Water Protectors! I took a much needed and personal hiatus from social media, and even most media in general, for the past month and a half. The election, the unrest in the U.S., and my own personal reasons began to weigh on my shoulders, and a break was ordered; I felt in order to help lead an important movement, I must first renew my mind and soul to allow better focus on the task at hand. With that being said, I am happy to be back supporting the initiative to bring attention to this unsafe pipeline in our beautiful state of Arkansas! Many bills are being passed through the hands of the Arkansas government right now, and straight to the desk of Governor Asa Hutchinson. Now is the time to raise our voices louder than ever on how we feel about this pipeline! Within the next week, I would LOVE it if every supporter on this petition (almost all 50,000 of you) would make your voice known. Email, phone call, tweet, notify the local news station, whatever is the easiest for you, DO IT. Tell all of your friends about the environmental and public safety dangers this pipeline/pipeline company ensues when laying this pipeline in the ground. I have included Governor Asa Hutchinson's phone number, and a personal message that you may recite when leaving a voicemail. You may create your own depending on how strongly you feel, but this is a good place to start: Governor, My name is ___________, and I am calling to urge you to please review and revise the decision of the Arkansas Public Service Commission to allow the Plains All American Diamond Pipeline to be place in the ground for not only environmental reasons, but for important reasons of our state's public safety. This company has a long and expensive record of numerous spills in states such as Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, and most recently, California with the Santa Barbara spill of 2015. This company has been fined by the EPA multiple times for failure to follow simple safety protocols. I, as an Arkansas (or United States) citizen and voter, DO NOT wish to see my state's beauty and safety put at risk for the pockets of others.
