Please do not hesitate to contact the individuals listed below to share your thoughts and opinions. The below information was borrowed from another mother's Facebook page who's child will also be deprived of much needed speech, occupational, and physical therapy. Medicaid is proposing significant changes in the current funding for speech, occupational, and physical therapy for children in the state of Arkansas. If approved, the units allowed for weekly therapy will be cut 70%. The maximum amount of therapy allowed under this plan would be 90 minutes per week for each discipline. If approved, these new limits on therapy will become effective July 1, 2017. Our state legislators and Medicaid need to hear from parents how these changes will impact the lives of their children.
