As Kenyan youth, we are now deliberate and decisive. We now have an Agenda.
The Issue
We are tired of rhetoric. As Kenyan youth, we have concluded that, no matter what politicians say, their words mean nothing to us. We are wide awake now; we know what change we need and at what level.
We have never really had much choice when it comes to leadership, particularly at the top, where we have continued to see the same cycle of leaders. We now believe that none of them fully understand the challenges young people face in our country. We have seen how young people are used when they are needed and then abandoned once those interests have been served.
Now we have an agenda—only one agenda. We are focused on one position on the ballot in the 2027 elections: the presidency.
The presidency is the only office with the constitutional authority to initiate and coordinate national programmes and policies capable of driving the changes we are advocating for. We now understand the level at which the changes we seek must begin.
Therefore, the question is no longer simply about participating in elections; it is about having one of our own as president.
Our agenda is to take over the presidency from the usual cycle of leaders. That is the reason for this campaign: to let every young Kenyan know that I have decided to announce my candidacy for the presidency in 2027.
I aim to reform our governance structure and create space for young people in major decision-making roles. We need equal representation in this country, and young people remain significantly underrepresented in many areas of government and public decision-making.
I am committing to all Kenyans that, if elected, my first order of business after being sworn into office will be to initiate a constitutional amendment process aimed at reforming our governance structure to make it more inclusive.
We will also establish a transparent system of governance in which every public office will have clearly defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for public servants before they assume their roles. This will ensure that every person working in public office has clear responsibilities and measurable targets, rather than having the unchecked discretion to use public resources however they want.
Therefore, these KPIs will form the basis for determining whether a public servant is meeting the required standards of productivity and performance.
One of the most effective ways to curb corruption in our country is to publicly disclose the performance of every public official periodically and provide full transparency on how public funds are allocated, spent, and transferred across every sector and level of government.
These thieves are like rats; they operate in darkness, but when we switch on the lights of transparency, those who misuse public resources will have nowhere to hide; and like rats, they will either run away or risk being killed.
If we allow fear to control us, we will remain crippled, endlessly shouting and complaining without creating meaningful change. It is unrealistic to expect the same leaders from the usual political cycle to provide solutions that genuinely put the interests of the youth at heart when their actions have left many feeling that our lives do not matter.
How long will we continue demonstrating in the streets for our rights while expecting change from the very same leaders we have seen before? We now have an agenda.
As Kenyan youth, we know the changes we need. We want job opportunities across every sector of our economy, and we need a well-planned and well-organised economy capable of putting every Kenyan's skills and talents to productive use.
We don't want stories; we are tired of stories. We are tired of promises. We want action, opportunity, and accountability.
We now have an agenda.
Our generation. Our voice. Our future.
But this is a journey that requires collective effort. Join me in sharing and building a youth-led presidential campaign centred on unity, innovation, and justice.
We need a movement powered by young minds, grounded in integrity, and inspired by what we can achieve together. By coming together, we can push for meaningful change and work towards creating a fairer and more equitable Kenya for everyone.
To meet the presidential nomination requirement, we need at least 2,000 registered voters from each of at least 24 counties, as required under Article 137 of the Constitution.
