Online advertising is a market at its infancy. Implementing 14.5% service tax for online ads would slow down the Industry. While print ads are exempt from service tax, it feels unfair to have service tax for online ads.

It burdens the advertiser and publisher and prevents us from focusing all our time and resources on creating value in the internet.

I request our Finance Minister to exempt service tax for online ads until the market matures.
