Furlough scheme extension: 80 per cent of wages will be paid during lockdown

Rishi Sunak has announced that the furlough scheme will be extended until March. This means that the thousands/millions of pounds that the Arts Council England granted to organisations such as Resident Advisor, Boiler Room, Ministry of Sound, fabriclondon, Village Underground, Paradigm Talent Agency, and many others, is totally unacceptable as organisations will have very low expenditures, while benefiting from donations, subscriptions and the sale items/goods.

This, while hundreds of thousands of independent people and organisations who operate in the sector have been unable to access any form of financial support due to very terrible conceived criteria.
