Last week, President Biden urged AI companies to agree to guardrails. While this appears to be a first step, it changes nothing. Why not? Because these guardrails are nothing more than what everyone has already agreed to. There are no binding laws, no international agreements and no clear data protection rules.

In this case, good is not good enough. More needs to be done to ensure that the development of AI goes in the right direction for all of us.
