Bolton Liberal Democrats

11 Aug 2015 — Following pressure by residents and service users, Transport for Greater Manchester have today confirmed that the 535 and 537 bus routes will continue as subsidised routes after Arriva terminate the contract on 30th August. The new services will operate at mainly off-peak times, Monday - Saturday.
Many thanks to Warren Fox (Bolton Liberal Democrats) who has spent weeks visiting residents in the area to keep them up to date with changes and collecting signatures offline. If anyone does have any further issues with the services, or have any other local issues they need support with, then please don't hesitate to contact him via warrenlfox@hotmail.co.uk.
Thanks to everyone who signed the petition, both online and offline. It's great to see that together we can make a real difference.
And do please show you support for the petition to reinstate the number 68 service between Bolton and Salford Royal Hospital. Without it most people in Bolton face a journey of up to 90 minutes, sometimes more. And it was the only service available to elderly and disabled residents in some parts of Harper Green and Farnworth. You can sign the petition here
