October 26th School Board Meeting at 6pm at Aromas School

Great news! The School Board has agreed to officially discuss the issue at the next school board meeting. We must be present in numbers there. It will be a 2 hour meeting. It will be long and maybe boring ; ), but it's so important to show support by being physically present there. I can't stress that enough. The meeting is October 26th at 6pm at the Aromas School. The board has a public comment time at the end of the meeting. You must fill out a public comment card before the meeting starts. Please show up at 5:30-5:45pm so you have time to do this. You do not have to read your comment. The board can read them. But submitting one is very important. If you absolutely cannot make the meeting, please email the board your public comment by the end of this week and ask that it be read at the meeting. For example To the Aromas-San Juan School Board. I am unable to attend the meeting, but I would like to submit the following statement for public comment: "write your concern or comment here" I am a concerned parent/community member. I feel there is a lack of long term safety data available on children playing in recycled tire waste. Please replace the tire shreds with a non-toxic alternative like wood fiber. Please do not make my child a guinea pig for long term safety. Any risk is too much when it comes to the health and safety of my child. I don't want my child anywhere near these chemicals at any level. My child is not old enough to wash his/her hands thoroughly enough before lunch.
