
Today I was retaliated against by way of suspension with the recommendation of termination. Thursday Marriott Corporate asked to set up a meeting to investigate the allegations reported. After responding to her and telling her I would only agree to meet if the interview could be recorded. The Marriott Corporate representative never responded. Today, Saturday, February 8, 2020 I got up knowing what I would face. I expected to be fired, so that Westin could attempt to eliminate the one who has brought exposure to their errors and injustices. So when I walked in today, I clocked in sat down and tried to log on to my PC. The PC showed that my account was disabled. My account has been disabled since Friday which lets me know this action was premeditated. In the report it’s states that I was disrespectful and unprofessional to my leaders. It also says that I was aggressive to the hotel manager that I was loud and that I violated his space at which point he ended the conversation. Which was not true. He wanted to have a conversation amongst other employees in a confined space. I questioned him as to why he was willingly allowing racism and he did not expect me to be so direct and honest, he became embarrassed . He could not answer correctly at which point I ended the conversation by telling him I will report the property and it’s actions. I refused to sign the report as it is falsified. I am confident in my individuality as an intelligent and powerful black woman. Civil Rights activists suffered things worse than employment termination. We must never be afraid of losing what doesn’t belong to us but we should be very afraid of losing what does belong to us! You can be stepped to, you can be stepped over but never be stepped on! - Kedreca
