On March 14th 2020, Marylou Armer sent her sister a text message to tell her happy. She also told her that she was sick with something worse than the flu for over a week, and that Kaiser would not test her for COVID. Marylou passed away in a coma before the month was over. Her family had no warning, no preparation, and could not say goodbye. This can not happen to the people putting themselves on the front lines.
