Why this petition matters
Started by Liam Mason
APS has approved "phasing out" Japanese classes at all Arlington Public Schools, meaning that no new students will be able to take them, and they will soon end entirely. This is happening under the pretense that there is not enough demand for Japanese in Arlington. This petition is aiming to prove otherwise.
I hope to learn how to say that in Japanese, but unfortunately that may not be a reality in the near future. Help me make it one by signing, and letting the School Board and Superintendent know that we support the Japanese language and culture, and want to further ourselves in the learning of cultures from all over the globe.
