Dissecting animals in Public schools is completely unnecessary, cruel and inhumane. 

Thousands of animals are taken and killed per year for the sole purpose of completing 1 classroom assignment that most public school students do not need at that point in their educational careers. These animals are taken from shelters and sometimes bred for the sole purpose of being killed and dissected.  See link below from PETA for more information. 

There are plenty of virtual alternatives that will provide the same information without taking a life if the school district believes this is truly needed in public schools.

People must stop treating animals like property and start respecting their lives. This inhumane process needs to stop
