As regards to Park View , Southern Water are adamant they know NOTHING about the sewer leaks which ESCC claimed had stopped resurfacing of the road in 2023. They are quite sure there are no sewer leaks, but will continue to talk to ESCC to try to find out why they claimed there was such an issue.

With the school accepting no responsibility whatsoever for the misery they cause the community throughout the school terms in terms of traffic and road damage that just leaves ESCC to answer the questions raised with them at the end of February. 

These questions cover not only why they insisted there was a sewer leak but also how Ark Alexandra Academy was able to make a major change to the school entrance without any reference to the County Council whatsoever as regards to the potential impact of traffic change.

Those questions were raised on 27th Feb and a detailed reply was promised within 10 working days. I chased after this period to say it would take a bit longer. Well, over a month later I am still waiting.

The wall of silence from ESCC has been deafening.

I don't know what is going on behind the scenes here but if somebody doesn't get their act together soon it may require both the County Council and the Academy having further complaints via their own regulators.

For the misery they cause residents in this area with both the parking issues ,road state and shaking of properties they should be ashamed. Equally the parents forking out for new tyres and extra petrol due to the potholes and stupid, extra long, drop off route deserve far better.

Please do continue to share this petition with fellow residents of the area and with other parents who loathe the daily school run. You need more from an Academy who claimed to put residents and their students before anything else and from ESCC you deserve far more from your council tax.
