ANWR Markup Hearing Taking Place TODAY

Last week, Senator Markowski--who is leading the charge to open up ANWR for drilling--introduced legislation to that end. Things are moving rather quickly, as this morning is already the markup hearing for that legislation. At this point, it is still completely unclear how the final vote will play out, so it is INCREDIBLY important that we realize our voices have a real opportunity here. I am urging you to contact your state senators--which can be done easily through their website or by phone--and make it known how strongly you oppose this legislation. These are the individuals who will be voting on this when the time comes; make sure they know how their constituents feel! Thanks again for all your support!
