Bishop Adam Taaso has been embroiled in controversy since 2010. The Diocesan clergy has on various occasions accused him of many charges, including corruption and fraud, misuse of church funds and dabbling in local political party issues. The accusations were presented to the Archbishop of Cape Town and Metropolitan of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa. Unfortunately however they were not addressed. Bishop TAASO'S term ended in June 2018. He requested the Synod of Bishops to grant him an extension until 2021, but this request was declined. He is now vigorously campaigning to have people sign a letter requesting the Archbishop to extend his tenure of office to October 2023. We are camping against that, and we ask you to sign this petition requesting the Archbishop to send Bishop Taaso home immediately.
