🚨 PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT – MS PATIENTS IN B.C. DESERVE FAIR ACCESS 🚨
***New information has come to light, and it needs to be said openly***
The B.C. government is covering Ocrevus and Kesimpta for its own government employees — on their OWN public service employee plan ( Canada Life Premium Coverage ) ….. but not for the citizens of this province living with RRMS - NOW tell me … WHO PAYS for those plans?? US the TAX payer !!! US living with this disease!! So while many can not afford private insurance - OUR money is being spent on the governments insurance packages that COVER them for their own government employees … AND for the ones WHO make these decisions on Pharmacare ..
Let that sink in.
These are life-altering, proven medications that reduce relapses, protect long-term function, and give people a chance at stability. Yet everyday British Columbians with RRMS are still being denied access, forced onto older off-label treatments, or made to fight endlessly through special authority processes — while government employees receive these same medications on the government’s employee plan ( Canada Life premiums package ) without the barriers the rest of us face. & who pays for those comprehensive healthcare packages?? WE the people DO!!
This is not fairness.
This is not equity.
This is not the standard of care British Columbians deserve.
People living with RRMS should not have to battle both their disease and a broken coverage system. We are simply asking for the same access the government already provides to its own workforce & what every other province provides across the country !
It’s time for B.C. to step up and provide equal, compassionate, evidence-based access to Ocrevus and Kesimpta for all MS patients — not just a select group.
Our lives, health, and futures matter.
This needs to change. 🧡
Please keep signing & sharing & reach out to government offices!! Premiers & Ministry of Health !!!! This is HUGE leverage in this FIGHT!!!
