Great strides have been made in brief history of the emoji.  From the introduction of racially diverse emojis to the addition of LGBT couples and families, Apple has been at the forefront of emoji progress.

Notwithstanding, the redesigned peach emoji to be released in iOS 10.2 has inspired considerable public outrage, and rightly so.  The peach emoji represents a great deal more than just another food emoji.  Indeed, it has become iconic in popular culture.  Therefore it is in the name of cultural preservation and for the sake of anthropology that we, the undersigned, present this petition for the conservation of the traditional peach emoji.
