In iOS 10, Apple has removed the ability to view or change the rating on music tracks. I have been using iTunes since the very first version. My music library has over 30,000 fully legal (non-pirated) tracks and my collection is organized by extensive use of ratings and smart playlists. Previous to iOS 10, I was able to listen to new music while out and about and rate it on the fly, those ratings then syncing back to my master iTunes library. However, iOS 10 has removed the track rating feature completely. You can't even view the track rating on an iOS 10 device.

Technically, it is possible to rate a track using Siri, but this feature is half-baked at best. Rating a track using this method pauses the track and, if you're listening to a smart playlist based on ratings, the track may be removed and skipped as soon as you rate. This is not at all optimal functionality.

Please Apple, bring track ratings back to iOS 10.
