The NG staff member who goes by username BrentHeMan has informed me that he and RobTop are working on some changes to how audio is shared in GD. This was posted in the comments section today (25 Jan) to my accompanying news post that led to this petition. I wholeheartedly understand if it's not ready to be unveiled yet -- although I imagine many share my frustrations, wishing that it was told to us sooner rather than later. Anyway: if an amicable solution is reached on this problem, which I sincerely hope there is, then I will void the petition, for that would mean the threat to NG will be averted to a great extent. Further discussions will be held with the moderation team. Thank you for all your support thus far. You've all been awesome.
