The Victorian Director of Public Prosecutions has today announced that an appeal against Borce Ristevski's sentence has been lodged. While this is not yet a 'victory' as such and we may not know the outcome of that appeal for some time, this is a positive step. I am closing down this petition and want to thank the 78,000+ of you who signed and shared it (and the media organisations who mentioned it). Your response speaks volumes for the opinion in the community about domestic violence, violence against women and inadequate prison sentences for offenders. In all of this, we remember Karen Ristevski and a life needlessly lost, and hope that change comes from this.
