ANZ BANK UPDATE: By now most will have read or heard that the ANZ has decided to forge ahead with closure of the Junee Branch. We could go on and on about how bad and unfair it is.. based on mis-information and typical bank arrogance... that might make us all feel good but doesn't resolve the issue. So, where are we up to? With a great deal of thanks to local, Norm Bray, the matter has been referred to the Ombudsman. There was quite specific financial info that only a proper accountant has the authority to deal with that had to be included with our submission and Norm was the man for the job. The matter was lodged and the Ombudsman has acknowledged our short window of time. We expect to hear back in the next couple of weeks. If your shop still has any petitions to be collected please contact Kate Brabin for collection. At the last count our paper petition had approx 4000 signatures. Thankyou to everyone for your support.
