As you know, yesterday a meeting took place at Council with ANZ and Junee Business and community representatives. Unfortunately there was no resolution or reversal reached. There were a number of questions and points put to ANZ which went unanswered during the meeting. Perhaps they underestimated how organised and prepared we were, perhaps it was tactics on their part, perhaps a little of both? They certainly appeared to be on the back foot on a number of key questions. In any case ANZ have agreed to come back to us on a number of matters which Council are in the process of formalising. Council will be issuing a media release soon which will go into greater detail for the benefit of the Junee community. One thing is absolutely certain though, which all of our business and community representatives agree on- This fight is not over and we must continue to share and sign both the online and paper petitions and keep building our support base. You are also welcome to email the District Manager and CEO personally to express you concern.
