Social Media Push

Hello Everyone! I hope that you all have been doing well these past few months! With your help, the petition has seen some great successes. We now have supporters from all 50 states as well 88 countries and territories! I am so glad to see that people all around the world are adding their voices to end the abuse and exploitation of these beautiful animals. I just wanted to send out a quick little idea I had of a simple way everyone can help. Since the last update, I have been given a lot of wonderful suggestions on ways to help spread the word about the “Sled Dogs Matter” movement. Therein, there have been a lot of celebrities and companies that you have suggested be contacted. I have done my best to write messages to many of these places with mixed results. I think this is mostly due to my messages being lost amongst thousands of others when attempting contact with some of the more popular animal advocates and organizations. In trying to think of solutions to better raise awareness, I couldn’t help but think of the power of social media. So here’s my idea. I have compiled a list of celebrities and organizations that have been known for being animal advocates. It is my hope that, for those who are willing, messages can be sent to these people/places including the hash tag #SledDogsMatter. The chances of a single message getting through to someone like Ricky Gervais is pretty low, but if even a handful of messages, all with the same tag, get sent, it is bound to appear on a social media monitoring dashboard sooner or later. Any help you can give in sending out messages to any of these places would be wonderful! If you’re not into social media, no worries; there will still be many more opportunities and ways to help in the future. You will also find links to the actual laws (passed and in process) that are causing all this havoc.
