There are many stories out there that DYFS continually harasses parents to give up the rights to their children and be placed in foster care. After being harassed time after time these parents become worn down and submit. What they find out later is that when they have more children they have them taken away. DYFS uses many tactics to take your children or place supervision on you which has a financial impact on the supervisors and these supervision tactics can last beyond a year. Since they enjoy immunity in their investigations DYFS continues to place hardships on these famlies knowing nothing is going to happen to them because of immunity. DYFS needs to be reeled in, privatized, have immunity removed, case workers need to be fully trained in the field of human services and proper investigative techniques as used by police, advise the parents of their parental rights and stop the harassment, and be under the watchful eye of an independent commission, all of which could cut back operating costs.
