Back in April 2023, We delivered 5000+ of your signatures to the office of the Speaker of Parliament Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula asking her to table it before the Portfolio Committee on Basic Education and Minister Angie Motshegka for urgent resolution. The petition was acknowledged by her office but I have never heard back from them since then. Through your support I gained many media ally’s that shared the petition to millions of readers and listeners across the country, but now months down the line it feels like our cause has been forgotten. I need you to help me revive the momentum and remind the nation about the lives of young children that have been carelessly lost to pit latrines.

My next step is to put pressure on the office of the speaker to table our petition before the Portfolio Committee on Basic Education and Minister Angie Motshegka so that they can meet me to discuss how they will eradicate pit latrines in our public schools.
