We are overwhelmed with the support we have received in the past few days! From a small estate in what can feel like very-distant North London, the messages on Twitter, Facebook, email and text message have been so empowering! We know we are up against giants right now, but the fact that 40,000 of you have decided to put your names behind us gives us strength. We never imagined there would be so many people who would care about what we are going through at Sweets Way, but along with the explosion on our petition, Russell Brand came and stayed with us at the occupied social centre we have opened, and news media from the Evening Standard, to Channel 4, and lots more have helped share our story! Enida, who’s 13 and has been forced out of Sweets Way into temporary accommodation 90 minutes from her school said: “It has been the amazing the way that Sweets Way has come together and how tens of thousands of others have come to support us. Last night, when Russell came round and we all stayed over, we felt like we were back at home, living here again. I felt really emotional.
