Petition updateStop State of Emergency powers being in extended in QLD TO OCT 22

24th February 2022 I wrote to every QLD Electorate, Every Single MP and State Titled Minister

Andrea DUCKETTQld, Australia
Mar 1, 2022

Below you will see out of the 93 Qld State Electorates and it’s Elected Ministers including my own local Federal Minister and I included Channel 7 & Channel 9 and addressed State Heads in their Departments (which in total was 124 emails) and I received only 4 personal responses acknowledging the petition and it’s detailed concerns. And my submission response….The rest were simply automated responses to date with no personally acknowledge response! These are our Elected Representatives who are supposed to represent our Community Voices in Parliament..I suggest everyone needs to consider who they believe best represents their voice in the future if this Bill is extended yet again!

ROBBIE KATTER - KATTER PARTY (TRAEGER ELECTORATE)

The Katter’s Australian Party State MPs have had a strategic meeting and intend to vote against the Bill if the policy objectives continue to impose mandates for Queenslanders.

We believe that all Queenslanders should consider having a COVID-19 vaccine, but that the ultimate decision with regards to this health matter rests with the individuals.

The Katter’s Australian Party believes that people should not be discriminated against or denied access to their communities on the basis of this health choice.

The Katter’s Australian Party will continue to fight to end COVID-19 vaccination mandates throughout Queensland.

Please see the relevant media releases below regarding the KAP calls to end the COVID-19 mandates:

STEPHEN ANDREWS - ONENATION PARTY (MIRANI ELECTORATE)

Thank you for your email Andrew. Mr Andrew shares your concerns. Stephen is currently in Brisbane attending to Committee matters and Parliamentary business including asking Questions on and without Notice regarding the emergency powers.

Our office is inundated with reading material, videos, questions and requests for support regarding COVID and all that entails daily. We understand the pandemic and the significant impacts it has made and continues to make on individuals and families.

Stephen has been very active and outspoken in advocating for the protection of people’s freedoms. His acute awareness of the assault on democratic rights can be seen in most of his comments, including those published across his social media platforms. Stephen was the only person out of 93 Members who wrote against it when it first was invoked… nothing has changed.

Stephen is fighting the situation from multiple fronts, doing the utmost in serving his community and beyond. He is working around the clock to find solutions to the circumstances we are all facing. Please keep an eye on Stephen’s Facebook pagefor announcements

TERRY LONGMAN - FEDERAL MEMBER - LIBERAL PARTY (LONGMAN ELECTORATE)

Good afternoon

You have contacted me in the past re vaccine mandates and as I have stated many times, I believe in choice when it comes to this matter. I have also explained that, in the main the mandates are a matter for State Governments and private businesses. In my own small business and in my electorate office I have left the vaccination up to my staff and I have not even asked their vaccination status which shows “I practice what I preach”.

I attach a letter I have sent to the Premier of Queensland asking for mandates to be reviewed and revised on behalf of our community.

Hopefully we will return to some sort of normality and equality amongst all citizens in the not-too-distant future.

Kind regards,

Terry Young MP
