HOW MANY TIMES MUST AN OFFENDER BREACH BAIL WHEN CHARGED IN THE DEATH OF A BABY TO BE LOCKED UP? Ryan Robert Barry Hodson, now 18, is one of three people charged with the manslaughter of 21-month-old, who died at his Caboolture home on June 11 last year with a ruptured intestine. All three have been accused of breaching their duties by failing to provide the little boy with the medical attention he needed. The Brisbane Supreme Court today heard that the Crown case had “slightly changed” and it was now further alleged Hodson “may have been there when the blow was administered” to Mason. There is “no direct evidence” Hodson or his co-accused — Mason’s mother, Anne Marree Louise Lee and her partner William Andrew O’Sullivan — caused the injury that led to the boy’s death, the court was told. Hodson was previously granted Supreme Court bail last August but he was hauled back behind bars this year after breaching his conditions.
