Help keep Queen & her puppies at the shelter and adopted out to safe homes!

Please help to save Queen (a post-partum dog seen roaming the busy streets for weeks before being rescued by concerned citizens) and her puppies (found abandoned in a homeless encampment) from being given back to their careless & negligent owner!!
Last Monday, a team of concerned citizens rescued Queen from being hit by a car as she was roaming a busy street in Magnolia. They brought her to the Seattle Animal Shelter. She was clearly actively nursing pups as her nipples were engorged. Another group of loving and concerned citizens took their time that evening to go out searching for the puppies and through an act of God they found them abandoned & cold in a tent located in a homeless encampment.
The shelter somehow was able to get in contact with Queen's homeless owners who demanded the return of the dog and the puppies. Apparently as long as the negligent owners pay a fee they will be able to reclaim these animals.
I implore the Seattle Animal Shelter to rethink returning these neglected dogs to their "owner" and instead adopt them out to new loving homes and owners who can actually care for them as they deserve to be!
If you feel the same way as I do, please sign this petition and see if we can enact a change in this sad situation and influence the Seattle Animal Shelter to rethink it's decision! This dog & her puppies have no way of making the decision for themselves so we as members of the community need to step in and do what we all know is right!
