From the early beginning of Anita Baker's career. Anita and Detroit have had "The Perfect Love Affair".    Anita has always shown Detroit "Good Love" and Detroit has shown it back.  Anita's music is the soundtrack of our lives.  Whether it was hearing Anita's impeecable vocals on "You Belong To Me" at our highschool prom or the many Detroiters that made babies to Anita's songs like "You Bring Me Joy" or "Talk To Me".  Anita and her music are the fabric of Detrioters very lives.   Anita has always been Detroit, rooting on our sports teams by performing the national anthem at our sports venues.  Detroit is where Anita chose to raise her babies the"Men In Her Life", her sons Walter and Eddie.  Anita and her music will always be part of what the spirit of what Detroit is!  It is with the deepest respect that people of the great city of Detroit request to part of Anita's farewell concert series.  We want one more chance to tell Anita "No One In The World" loves you like Detroit does!!
